Agnes Xu is a Patent Agent in the New York Office of Kenyon and Kenyon LLP. Her current practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications (domestic and foreign), concentrating primarily in the areas of biotechnology, chemical and pharmaceutical sciences.
Dr. Xu received her bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she conducted undergraduate research in the areas of coordination chemistry and biochemistry. Dr. Xu obtained her Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Wesleyan University with a thesis entitled “Thermodynamics and Kinetics of Halogen Atom Transfer Reactions of Ruthenoceniums and Osmoceniums.” Her graduate research interest was in medicinal inorganic and physical inorganic chemistry, with emphasis on fundamental aspects of coupled group/multielectron transfer reactions in solution.
Prior to joining Kenyon and Kenyon, Dr. Xu assisted in domestic, foreign, and PCT patent prosecution relating to pharmaceutical sciences for a New York based law firm.
Dr. Xu is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
