Mediostream, Inc. v. Microsoft Corp., et al.

Kenyon successfully represented Sony in litigation in the Northern District of California filed by MedioStream against our client and others, including Microsoft, Apple and Sonic Solutions. MedioStream accused Sony of allegedly stealing its trade secrets. The suit, first brought in June 2011, maintains Microsoft entered into anti-competitive agreements with computer equipment manufacturers in which the manufacturers agreed not to promote non-Microsoft media platforms. Kenyon argued for Sony that the first amended complaint failed to include facts demonstrating that Sony improperly obtained or disclosed MedioStream trade secret information. The Court agreed with Sony and dismissed the complaint for failing to state a proper claim for relief, allowing MedioStream leave to amend. Case number: 5:11-cv-03095 (2012)
